Emily Atwood is an independent type and brand designer interested in the historical typographic fragments that women have left behind. Now based in Orange, California.

She has previously worked as a Senior Designer at Order, Aruliden, and Pentagram Design in New York City and leading identity, editorial, campaign and web design projects. In 2014, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York. She also pursued her BFA in Graphic Design + Digital Media at Laguna College of Art + Design and graduated in 2017. She received a certificate in Type Design through the Type@Cooper Extended Program at The Cooper Union in New York City in 2021. She is currently an Adjunct Instructor in the Design Departments for Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, California and previously for The School of Visual Arts in New York City.
