Uraniya Revival Text Typeface

The original source that Uraniya is inspired by is derived from a book printed in 1928—an almanac containing the literary works and life of Fyodor Tyutchev, who was an acclaimed Russian Poet and Diplomat. The name of the almanac is  “Uraniya,” the Greek Muse of Astronomy. The goal of this revival was to evaluate the impression of the original source and to reinterpret that spirit as closely as possible. Characteristics that stood out were the tall x-height, pointed tear drop terminals, elongated descenders and an overall subtle flamboyance for a text typeface.
